To
congratulate
the
O’Neill
Brothers
on
selling
100,000
albums,
Governor
Arne
Carlson
has
proclaimed
today
"Tim
&
Ryan
O’Neill
Day"
in
Minnesota.
To
celebrate,
Shamrock-n-Roll
Records
invited
100
fans
the
chance
to
join
the
musicians
on a
river
cruise
party.
New
Prague
natives
(and
now
Bloomington
residents)
Tim
and
Ryan
O’Neill,
known
as
the
O’Neill
Brothers,
will
be
the
guests
of
honor
at
the
celebration,
a
three-hour
St.
Croix
River
Cruise
Party
in
Stillwater,
MN
on
August
13th.
The
O’Neill
Brothers’
enthusiastic
fans
have
made
successes
of
their
seven
albums,
including
their
latest
and
first
jointly-recorded
album,
"PS,
I
Love
You."
Prior
to
teaming
with
his
brother,
Tim
O’Neill
recorded
five
solo
albums,
including
"Spirit
of
the
Season"
and
"Spirit
of
the
Season
Volume
II,"
featuring
traditional
and
new
holiday
classics;
"The
Meeting
of
the
Waters,"
a
collection
of
traditional
Irish
instrumental
songs
recorded
during
a
three-month
trip
to
the
Emerald
Isle;
"Love
Always,"
classic
(and
a
few
original)
love
songs;
and
his
mostly
original
album,
"Hands
of
Time."
Ryan
O’Neill’s
solo
album
is
titled
"Look
Within."
Tim
and
Ryan
have
found
a
way
on
their
own
to
write,
record,
produce,
market
and
sell
CDs
of
mainly
instrumental
songs
by
combining
their
desire
to
make
music
with
the
business
spirit
of
an
entrepreneur.
"Basically
we’re
our
own
record
company
and
managers,"
Tim
says.
"We
book
the
studio
time,
we
decide
what
music
to
play,
we
find
the
artwork
for
the
cover,
hire
a
company
to
press
the
CDs
and
then
find
ways
to
introduce
our
music
to
new
people.
We
just
thought
there
had
to
be a
way
to
make
music
and
make
a
living
without
having
to
depend
on a
major
record
label
and
trying
to
convince
others
that
our
music
is
worth
recording,"
he
says.
